Rajesh Tallapaneni tops Spartan’s Weekly TLB

The Spartan Poker is among the top brass of the online poker industry in India. They have hosted some tournaments and series in the past that have become major milestones in the Indian poker scene. They also host a diverse range of events and leaderboards to suit all kinds of players with all pocket sizes.

Spartan recently introduced an exciting new promotion, the weekly Tournament Leaderboard (TLB) on their site. The leaderboard was inaugurated in the first week of December and saw ‘ihatepoker’ become the first topper of the Weekly TLB, taking home INR 1 Lakh as the 1st place cash prize, out of the INR 2.5 Lakhs guarantee.

This week saw the second TLB declare its winner. The name won’t surprise you. Rajesh Tallapaneni aka ‘THALAIVA AR’ was crowned the winner, who earned INR 1 Lakh for his spectacular top finish. He had accumulated a total of 2,325 TLB points over the week to finish 1st, beating Anant Purohit’s 2225 points. Purohit, aka ‘Pro’ took home INR 75K as 2nd place cash prize.

Tallapaneni is so consistent lately that he also topped the very first Lightning Leaderboard introduced by Spartan last month for INR 4 Lakhs, which had an awesome guarantee of INR 10 Lakhs. All eyes should be fixed on Tallapaneni moving forward, since his leaderboard wins indicate that he is a top-notch player packing a sharp skill-set and will probably go on to add a lot more wins to his career in the future.

3rd to finish in the TLB was another Spartan regular who goes by the name of ‘7vik’, earning INR 40K. Rajat Sharma aka ‘Garammasala’ came 4th and took home INR 25K. His Spartan Mega stack win last Tuesday is probably the major factor for his high rank. Sharma also came 5th in November’s Lightning Leaderboard for INR 60K.

The last one to cash out at 5th was the well-known grinder Rajesh Kumar Shukla aka ‘macchi_fry’, for INR 10K. He comes from his top finish at the Spartan Super Series (SSS) leaderboard last night, where he earned INR 2.5 Lakhs already. Shukla is also someone who has been very consistent in these previous months and someone to watch out for.
