Rajesh Shukla tops SSS Leaderboard again

One of the biggest tournament series to exist in the online poker scene in this country is the Spartan Super Series (SSS) hosted by The Spartan Poker. The series is a 5-days festival of high value adrenaline-rushing entertainment. Many big names of Indian circle can be found all at one place on Spartan when the SSS is being hosted.

This month’s SSS began on 12^th December and went in the books yesterday. The series had a total guaranteed prize pool of INR 3+ Crores. A total of 26 tournaments were lined up in the period, and the crown jewel of the series was The Millionaire Main Event having INR 1 Crore GTD, which also declared its champion yesterday.

Along with the tournaments, there was an SSS Leaderboard featuring for the duration of the series, having INR 5 Lakhs in guaranteed prize pool for top five players. The SSS Leaderboard declared its topper yesterday and it was no surprise that we heard the name Rajesh Shukla aka ‘macchi_fry’ finish at the top of the leaderboard, taking home INR 2.5 Lakhs (2,683 points) for his spectacular run in the series.

Shukla is such a dedicated player that just looking at his history on Spartan would make you awestruck. He topped October’s SSS Leaderboard this year and took home a colossal INR 4 Lakhs there. As if that wasn’t enough, he proceed to top the Cool Leaderboard on Spartan just a few weeks later, where he earned another INR 1.2 Lakhs. For his achievements, he was feliciated at the second Indian Poker Championship (IPC) Awards which was hosted recently at Sahara Star, Mumbai. We have all witnessed his incredible performance these last twelve months and it looks like this trend will be carried forward into the next year as well.

Gutshot got in touch with Shukla later, and he had this to say, “It was another great experience for me playing the SSS series on Spartan. It feels awesome to ship it for the second time. The 2^nd to finish in the leaderboard was ‘Balleballe’ who took home INR 1 Lakh. ‘Screwdriver45’, bagged the 3^rd place cash prize of INR 75K. The 4^th position was filled by a known player Anant Purohit aka ‘Pro’ with INR 50K. He also has a history of shipping many tournaments on various platforms. The last to cash out in the leaderboard was ‘7vik’ with INR 25K.
