Rajesh Kumar Shukla wins Spartan Electra

The featured tournament Electra which takes place on The Spartan Poker every week saw a big turnout last night which surpassed the guaranteed prizepool of this tournament. It was Rajesh Kumar Shukla who plays under the moniker ‘suckout_king’ who took down the title for INR 1,31,375. Shukla defeated 487 entries who contributed he INR 1,650 buy-in each to make up a prizepool of INR 7,30,500 easily crossing the of INR 7 Lakhs guarantee. Top 39 players took a share of the prizepool with a min-cash of INR 5,040. The tournament is a re-entry format. 

On his win Shukla expressed, “It’s a pleasure winning on The Spartan Poker. Electra provides a great opportunity to low/mid stake players to win huge prizes from small buy-ins. Really enjoy the games and structure.” In the past Shukla has also won the Highroller title at the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) January 2017 edition.

When the tournament reached Level #38 with blinds 17,500-35,000-3,500, ‘suckout_king’ had Kd Qd and ‘Akkiaaru2204’ had 3d 4h. After posting the blinds, both players saw the flop of 7d 6c 8d. ‘Akkiaaru2204’ folded to ‘suckout_king’s bet. After this hand, both the players agreed to a deal where ‘suckout_king’ took home INR 1,31,375 and ‘Akkiaaru2204’ collected INR 1,12,166.

The Spartan Poker also hosted a Last Man Standing contest on social media and along with his tournament winnings, Shukla also claimed the LMS prize as a ticket to The Millionaire and Two of a Kind ticket with a cumulative value of INR 13,200 and a cash prize of INR 3,000.

As per the promotions associated with this tournament, any female player who makes the final table i.e the top 8 spots will get a free ticket to Spartan’s signature Millionaire tournament next month. And last night we had a female player in ‘ASH1578’ who will be awarded this prize. The next Millionaire tournament is scheduled 13 May at 4:30 pm.
