Rajat Sharma ships SSS Sunday SuperStack on Spartan

It was not too long ago that Rajat Sharma aka ‘GarammasaIa’ won the LBS Main Event on The Spartan Poker. Prior to that victory towards the end of August, he also won The Elite on Spartan in the month of June. Now, this popular player decided to kick it up a notch, winning the Sunday SuperStack title on Spartan yesterday.

Sunday’s SuperStack tournament was a part of the Spartan Super Series (SSS) which concluded last night itself. With a buy-in of INR 5,500, SSS Event #36 SuperStack INR 25 Lakh GTD was one of the tournaments to watch out for on the final day of the series, and Rajat Sharma took away top honours in this tournament.

He bested a field of 557 entries, which broke the guarantee and created a new prize pool of INR 27,85,000. This allowed the top 60 players to be paid out a min-cash of INR 11,140 and Sharma was rewarded with the biggest pay-check of all, winning INR 7,24,100 for first-place.

In heads-up, he defeated ‘Justin bonomo’, a player who seems to be inspired by the world’s number one on the all-time poker winnings list. Sharma had a 2:1 chip lead moving into what became the final hand, and he hit a Sixes full of Twos Full-House on the turn, beating Justin bonomo’s Eights and Sixes, with the latter taking home INR 4,45,600 for second-place.

Gutshot caught up with Sharma after he shipped this very popular featured tournament on Spartan last night. The player was very exhausted with the grind which ended at 4:54am this morning.
