Pre-Registrations For Battlegrounds Mobile India Begin On Google Play Store

The long-awaited date for pre-registrations of Battlegrounds Mobile India has been announced by game developer Krafton. Fans are thrilled as pre-registrations kick-start on 18th May. This means that Android users will be the first ones to get a taste of the game with its new features and a new name.

This announcement comes just a few days after Krafton officially confirmed that Battlegrounds Mobile India (formerly known as PUBG Mobile) will be making its comeback in the country. Back in September 2020, the Indian government banned PUBG Mobile and other Chinese apps due to concerns over data security. After 8 months of patiently waiting, Krafton will finally bring back the popular battle royale game as a new and localized version called Battlegrounds Mobile India.

According to the statement on the game’s website, fans who pre-register for the game will have specific rewards waiting for them. It also states that these rewards will only be available to Indian players. For those who wish to apply for pre-registration, have to hit the pre-register button for the new game in Google Play Store. The promised rewards can be claimed when the game launches.

The entry of Battlegrounds Mobile India into the Indian gaming market was also welcomed by many gamers and esports enthusiasts in the country. “It is heartening to see that Krafton Inc. has announced the date for pre-registrations of Battlegrounds Mobile India, which is a clear indication that government green light has been given and this surely is a piece of good news for all the PUBG players who have been missing the game all this while since the game was withdrawn from the Indian market post the government ban,” said Lokesh Suji, Director of Esports Federation of India (ESFI).

The game is expected to further boost the esports ecosystem in the country and hopefully introduce new players to the industry. The release of the game’s pre-registration date is a sure sign of the game’s return. Tarun Gupta, founder of Ultimate Battle said, “We are excited to see that the pre-registrations for the Battlegrounds Mobile India are finally rolling out. Indian gamers will now be able to get hands-on experience with this much-awaited game. This launch will be historic if I may call it so. At Ultimate Battle, we will be including Battlegrounds Mobile India in our All India Esports League which will be rolling out shortly.”
