PokerGO Tour Announces PGT Last Chance Series

PokerGO and the PokerGO Tour are thrilled to announce the PG Last Chance Series, an exciting series of high-stakes poker tournaments designed to give players one final opportunity to secure their place in the season-ending PGT $1,000,000 Championship. Held at the luxurious PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas from 2nd to 9th January 2025, this six-event series will feature $10,100 buy-in tournaments, each awarding valuable PGT leaderboard points to boost players into the coveted top 40 of the season standings.

Running as a climactic finale to the PGT schedule, the Last Chance Series offers intense competition for those on the bubble of leaderboard qualification. With only the top 40 eligible players advancing to the PGT Championship, each tournament in this series provides a critical chance to gain ranking points and, ultimately, a shot at the season’s most prestigious prize.

In addition to leaderboard points for each event, the PGT Last Chance Series features a unique incentive: the series leaderboard will award three “Dream Seat” entries to players who do not finish in the top 40 but perform exceptionally during the Last Chance Series. These Dream Seat entries will grant entry into the PGT $1,000,000 Championship, allowing players one final chance to claim glory. Additionally, the five players ranking fourth to eighth on the Last Chance Series leaderboard will receive a Dream Pass, granting them access to the exclusive Dream Seat Invitational, where they’ll have yet another chance to make their PGT Championship dreams come true.

The PGT, Last Chance Series, is the ultimate final sprint for top-tier poker talent who have fought throughout the season to rise in the standings. Each tournament within the series offers high-stakes, competitive action that will culminate in the season’s most elite event: the PGT $1,000,000 Championship.

The PGT Last Chance Series is also important for players that have a good standing in the top 40 of the leaderboard because the more points earned during the PGT regular season can lead to more starting chips in the PGT Championship event.

“The PGT Last Chance Series is the last opportunity for players to secure a place in poker’s most prestigious end-of-year championship and for rising stars to leave their mark on the 2024 PGT season,” said Tim Duckworth, Director of Live Events for PokerGO. “With high stakes on the line and additional Dream Seat entries available, this series gives everyone a shot. We’re excited to see the intensity and determination the Last Chance Series will bring to PokerGO Studio.”

Following the PGT Last Chance Series is the PGT Championship Dream Seat Invitational on 9th January. This single-day event is open to anyone who has been awarded, earned or won a “Dream Pass” throughout the 2024 PGT season. The final six players will all earn the final Dream Seat entries into the PGT $1,000,000 Championship.

The PGT $1,000,000 Championship takes place starting on 10th January and is a two-day event. This season-ending event is open to the top 40 eligible players on the PGT leaderboard, plus all Dream Seat winners. Players receive eligibility for the PGT Championship by earning enough points to finish inside the top 40 of the leaderboard and by having earned three PGT-qualifying cashes during the 2024 PGT season. The PGT Championship will have a maximum of 50 entries, and they’ll all compete in the $1,000,000 prize pool. First place is $500,000, and the top six spots will finish in the money.
