PokerBaazi announces biggest PPL Series – 5 crore GTD

PokerBaazi is one of the biggest online poker sites in India, regularly hosting high cash prize events all around the year. Their PokerBaazi Premier League (PPL) is one such series that runs throughout the year with four editions aptly named after the four seasons of the year.

The PPL kicks off in mid-February with its Spring Edition first. This year’s PPL Spring Edition featured a total prize-pool of over INR 4.1 Crore and 42 events spread over a week. Then followed the Summer edition in June and the Autumn Edition in October.

The Autumn Edition’s MoneyMaker had a buy-in of INR 11,000 and attracted a huge field of 1,357 entries, acting as the Main Event of the series and going well over the required INR 1 crore GTD. Nikhil ‘stringbet710’ Sayilen won this tournament and took home a staggering amount of over INR 33 Lakh, which surely is a life changer.

This year’s PPL Winter Edition has just been announced by PokerBaazi. Having a total prize pool of INR 5 Crore GTD, this is their largest ever tournament series. The Winter edition is scheduled from 10^–16 December 2018, with the MoneyMaker making the finale of the series on the last day.

Leaderboard competitions reveal the true calibre of a player, with the random luck factors thrown out of the equation. There is the yearly PPL leaderboard and the Winter Edition Leaderboard as well. Last edition’s leaderboard had an INR 10 Lakh prize, with Akshay ‘sherlock52’ Nasa bagging the first place of INR 3 Lacs.
