Wednesday Round Up: Sandeep Bhatnagar & Anant Purohit Steal Top Spots

While poker platforms are more active during weekends, the weekdays too experience some high-value tournaments. Grinding through the early hours of the morning, the hard work was worth it for many poker players who made it in the money. Here’s a full report of the Wednesday action.

Destiny – 23 Lakh GTD

A total of 474 entries played the Destiny tournament on Spartan Poker which had a buy-in of INR 5,500. It was an exciting time for players as the advertised guarantee was surpassed. A min-cash of INR 14,220 was awarded to the top 40 places. Taking the number one spot, however, was Anant Purohit aka ‘Prometheius’ who beat player Akshay Kadam aka ‘Jacks24’ to take the top prize of INR 6,28,050. Kadam took home INR 3,91,050 in winnings.

The Pride – 10 Lakh GTD

PokerBaazi welcomed a total of 222 entries to the Pride tournament, where each paid a buy-in of INR 3,850 to participate. The battle saw the top 27 places get a min-cash of INR 8,300. It was player Sandeep Bhatnagar aka ‘Chor’ who stole the top spot and player Ashit Sharma aka ‘nexus010,’ came in second. Bhatnagar walked away with INR 2,35,000 in the bank while Sharma took home INR 1,65,000 in winnings.
