Poker Yaar winners heading to Bulgaria

We’re always talking about the rapid rise of poker in India, with many tournaments, events and leagues being held throughout the year, with varying buy-ins, guarantees, and players. Poker companies are always looking to introduce new innovations and offer their users new experiences, and Poker Yaar is no different.

The poker website recently launched a tournament that would let two lucky winners get an all-expense paid trip to play in an MPN Poker Tour Event in Bulgaria, in July 2018. The grand finale of the offering, known as ‘International Poker Tour Fly to Bulgaria’, took place on 14th May 2018 and the top two winners were decided.

Both the winner ‘Laughingbuddha’ and the runner up ‘Dilshervirk’ have won trips to Bulgaria, to play in the Sunny Beach MPN Poker Tour €150,000 (~INR 1.2 crore) GTD Event, which is scheduled between 5th and 8th July 2018. The winner’s package will include his flight tickets, accommodation, the live event buy-in of €550 (~INR 45k), a welcome party, VIP tour, food and drinks. The runner up will receive the same package without his flights being paid for.

Not only have they won a chilled-out summer vacation to Bulgaria’s Sunny Beach, but they also have the chance to play in the INR 1.2 Crore GTD Event. Gutshot caught up with ‘Laughingbuddha’ aka Rahul Sengar to ask him about his win and what he feels about Poker Yaar giving him the chance to travel to Bulgaria.

He replied, “It was a great experience and was a pleasure to play with Poker Yaar. They have provided a very nice opportunity to play live poker at the international level. This is like a milestone achievement for me playing at such a level of competition. Poker Yaar has been the platform that has enabled me to reach this stage. The support provided by them has been great and I feel at ease playing with them.”

Sengar played a qualifier tournament that had a buy-in of INR 600 and he shipped that before participating in the INR 6,000 tournament that he shipped as well. Basically, he has won a trip to Bulgaria with an investment of just INR 600. What a great achievement by the poker player!
