Poker Dream 13 Returns To Malaysia This November!

Following the recent conclusion of Poker Dream 12 in Jeju, South Korea, the tournament series will once again captivate poker enthusiasts from around the world with its exciting lineup of events and massive prize pools.

Poker Dream 13 Malaysia

Poker Dream 13 Malaysia will be held from 15th to 24th November 2024 and features a Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of MYR 5,000,000. The tournament will take place at the renowned Genting Highlands, a popular tourist destination known for its lush rainforest, cool climate, and world-class entertainment options.

Poker Dream has a strong history in Malaysia, having previously hosted successful events in the country. Poker Dream 11 was also held at Genting Highlands, showcasing the region’s appeal as a poker destination.

A Unique Twist: Play Down Levels

One of the new things about Poker Dream 12, which will also be in Poker Dream 13 Malaysia, is a system called ‘Play Down Levels’. This system allows players to choose from three buy-in options: 5%, 10%, or 15%. These percentages determine how long a player can stay in the tournament.

For example, a player who buys in at the 5% level can only play until 5% of the original field remains. Once the field reaches that point, the tournament ends for that player, regardless of their chip count. This system offers players more flexibility and control over their tournament experience, as they can choose a lower buy-in to minimize their risk while still having a chance to win.

Poker Dream 13 Malaysia Main Event

The most anticipated event of Poker Dream 13 Malaysia is undoubtedly the Main Event. This prestigious tournament will award the coveted ME Trophy and a massive, guaranteed prize pool of MYR 5,000,000. • Malaysia Open: Scheduled on 15th November with GTD of MYR 1,500,000
• Single Day High Roller: Will be scheduled on 16th November, the buy-in to this event is MYR 10,000
• Mystery Bounty High Roller: Will start on 17th November for a GTD of MYR 1,000,000
• Mini Main Event: Will kick off on 24th November for a GTD of MYR 200,000
• Super High Roller: Final table will be played on 21st November

Zarvan Tumboli, the cover star of Gutshot Magazine’s June 2024 edition, clinched the Poker Dream 8 Main Event title and earned MYR 888,000 (~₹1.55 Crore). Harshdev Jhirmiria won the Mystery Bounty at Poker Dream 9, and Nishant Sharma has won the Main Event in two consecutive editions, Poker Dream 10 and Poker Dream 11 Malaysia. Dhaval Mudgal clinched the Mini Main Event at the Poker Dream 11.
