Poker Dream 12 Heads To Jeju: $2M GTD Main Event And More!

After Poker Dream’s successful stop in Malaysia in early August, the live poker giant is now heading for their first stop ever in Jeju, South Korea. Poker Dream 12 is scheduled to take place at the Landing Casino between 26th September to 6th October 2024. This prestigious poker event has a whopping $2 Million (~KRW 2.8 Billion) GTD Main Event.

Poker Dream 12 Jeju

Poker Dream will host an event in Jeju for the first time in sponsorship with QQPK, Poker Fox, and Korea Poker Cup. This 11-day-long poker series includes 40+ events, special features like satellite events, early bird offers, freerolls, and various poker formats. Like all other Poker Dream tours, the 12th edition kicks off with the freeroll to Poker Dream 12, which is sponsored by QQPK, followed by Jeju Open and ending the series with significant events like the Mystery Bounty High Roller and the Main Event that comes with an exciting twist.

Poker Dream 12 Main Event

Unlike traditional multi-fight poker events, the Poker Dream 12 ME has three buy-in options.

  • 5% | buy-in $875
  • 10% | buy-in $1.16K
  • 15% | buy-in $1.75K

What are these percentage figures? They’re basically ‘Play Down’ figures for the ME flights. The Twelve Day 1 flights all have a predetermined percentage set by the organisers. This means when the flight reaches the desired percentage of players remaining, it ends there, and those players progress to Day 2. Such a format means that anyone who plays a Day 1 of play down to 7.5% has lesser chances of qualifying for Day 2 and thus pays a lower buy-in amount. The ME flights run between 30th September to 4th October 2024. Day 2 takes place on the 5th of October, and the Final Day on the 6th of October.

Poker Dream 12 Mystery Bounty High Roller

The ME isn’t the only event with flights. There are multiple flights for the Mystery Bounty High Roller, which has a buy-in of $4,030 (KRW 5,500,00). Korea Poker Club sponsors this event, which offers substantial prizes in bounties and adds an extra layer of excitement to the tournament.

Poker Dream 12 Super High Roller

For those high-stakes players looking to elevate their game, this is the perfect stage to showcase your elite poker skills. The Super High Roller Day 1s begin on 1st October and come with a buy-in of $7,328 (KRW 10,000,000).

Poker Dream Indian Pro’s

Indian poker players have shined at the Poker Dream events for several tours. It all started with our June 2024 magazine cover star Zarvan Tumboli, who won the Poker Dream 8 Main Event, earning MYR 888,000 (~₹1.55 Crore) and becoming the first Indian to win a Poker Dream Main Event trophy

Harsh Dev Jhirmiria won Event #11: Mystery Bounty, earning MYR 288,000 (~₹50.67 Lakh) at Poker Dream 9. This victory and a few other top performances earned him a feature in our June 2024 magazine.

With every tour, Poker Dream is becoming popular among Indian poker players and those in Asia as well. We hope to see more Indian participation at Jeju. Can it be a hat-trick for Nishant Sharma? Will Zarvan Tumboli resurrect his ‘Bawa Power’? The action will unfold for all these players at Jeju.
