partypoker Releases MILLIONS Grand Final Schedule

Online poker giant PokerStars has been continuously fiddling with their tournament formats, having re-branded its TCOOP series to Turbo Series, followed by cancelling its Chile stop of the Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT). On the other hand, partypoker has been releasing new tournaments with higher guarantees. Their latest MILLIONS Grand Final schedule has now been launched, with the biggest guarantees the company has ever offered!

The inaugural partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Germany is currently underway at the Kings Casino, Rozvadov, after the MILLIONS Online took place in December last year. The MILLIONS Germany series promises a Main Event guarantee of €5,000,000, which kicks off later today. Earlier, Patrik Antonius and Johannes Becker were crowned champs of the €25k SHR events, while Chi Zhang won the €50k SHR event!

The Grand Final on the other hand, has been scheduled to be played at Casino Barcelona, between 7th and 15th April 2018, and this tournament series offers a massive guarantee of €23,000,000, including a guaranteed prizepool of €10,000,000 for the Main Event.

This series is all set to become the largest ever live poker event held on European soil and industry experts believe that these guarantees could be smashed in Casino Barcelona, come April. A total of 9 events will be played in the series, including a €1,100 opening event, 5 high roller events with buy-ins ranging between €10k and €100k, a €2,500 final warm up event, the €10,300 Main Event and a €1,100 unlimited re-entry finale!

The Grand Final will be the final MILLIONS event of Season 1, and Season 2 set to begin on April 21, 2018 with the MILLIONS North America series. We’re expecting top poker pros from around the globe to be a part of the festivities in Barcelona to wrap up Season 1, and you can get all major updates on our website.

While PokerStars has been losing a whole lot of their Team Pros over the last couple of months, partypoker has been signing new ambassadors and they have been making headlines for the right things more often than PokerStars of late. Is PokerStars on the decline? Could we see partypoker emerge as the market leader in the next year or so? Leave your comments and let us know.
