Parikshit Dhall bags another major title – Sunday SuperStack

The last couple of months have been good for Parikshit Dhall in the online poker space, winning across platforms and winning not just any, but the ones that matter too. He has been a regular grinder in recent times, and it looks like he’s putting a lot of effort into his game at the moment.

Last night saw him bag another major feature tournament, this time on Spartan PokerSunday SuperStack INR 25 Lakh GTD happens to be the most popular weekly tournament on Spartan, being played each Sunday at 8pm with a buy-in of INR 5,500. It’s not too often that the guarantee is missed but here, we missed it narrowly with 434 entries registering to the tournament.

From them, only the top 39 players were paid out with a min-cash of INR 17,250 which was nearly 3 times the original investment per entry. However, Dhall, who plays as ‘zapdos1311’ on Spartan, didn’t want any of these smaller prizes on the night. He stood strong, outlasted the competition and bagged the top prize of INR 5,01,250 for winning Sunday SuperStack.

This isn’t the first time Dhall has won a featured tournament on Spartan Poker and there are high chances that it won’t be the last time, as the upcoming poker player has been seeing consistent results in recent months. It was just in May this year that he also won 5For5 on this platform, which is one of their biggest signature tournaments.

Here, he had to get past some top online poker grinders including Bibek Karki aka ‘BIBEK329’ (16th), Wilson Yomso aka ‘RohiniSharma’ (15th), Pranav Khandalkar aka ‘pranavpoker’ (6th), and ‘Reckless’ in heads-up. After a tough battle, Reckless had to settle for the second-place prize of INR 3,33,250.

It was an extremely long grind that last for 9+ hours and eventually ended at 5:09am this morning when Dhall managed to seal the tournament. He had a chip lead of almost 7:1 before the final hand, where he shoved pre-flop with Th Qs and got a call from Reckless who had Ac 7s. On the board of 5c 8d Ts 5d Kc, Dhall improved on the flop itself and ended up winning with the pot with Tens and Fives.
