NPS 2022: Golden Rush Final Table Contenders

After 14 days of power-packed tournaments on the virtual felts, National Poker Series 2022 (NPS) concluded its events earlier this week. This year’s edition received an overwhelming response and even crushed some previous years records. However, the organizers decided to save the best for the last and host the final tables (FT) of three marquee events live in Goa. The Super Highroller, Main Event and Golden Rush are the three events whose final tables would be held live at PokerBaazi LIVE in Goa.

The FT of Super Highroller concluded yesterday with WSOP bracelet winner Kartik Ved nailing the title. The Main Event FT will take place today and will crown one winner out of the eight finalists. Similarly, the FT of Golden Rush will be streamed live from Goa tomorrow. Eight players have made it to the FT of the Golden Rush event and will battle it out to win a share from the humongous prize pool of ₹1 crore and the Golden Rush title. Let’s see who these final eight are.

Sankesh Jain – 49,000,000 chips

Sankesh Jain aka ‘Sanky92’ will resume the FT with the highest stack of 4.9 Crore chips. Jain has a total of 20 titles to his credit, and interestingly, all of them are on PokerBaazi. Will he be able to follow Kartik Ved’s footsteps and continue the legacy of the chip leader shipping the tournament?

Nitin Tomar – 41,800,000 chips

Nitin Tomar aka ‘Ladone’ sits with the second highest stack on the FT. He has eight titles on Spartan Poker. Not much of his playing history is available on PokerBaazi, will the NPS Golden Rush title mark his first ever PokerBaazi victory? Only time will tell.

Dilip Kumar aka ‘Celestial’ is a rather mysterious player, with no information available on him. Kumar’s previous victories, forte, playing style are all unknown, making him one of the player’s to look out for.

Pramod Asokkumar – 20,900,000 chips

Pramod Asokkumar who plays with the moniker ‘TIMEPAID’ has a 18 victories to his credit, with most of his winnings from PokerBaazi. Will he be able to ship the Golden Rush and be known as the ultimate Golden Rush champion? Let’s wait and find out!

Priyanka Choudhary – 20,900,000 chips

With the same stack as Asokkumar is Priyanka Choudhury aka ‘Pokerdoggo.’ No information is available about Choudhury’s poker history, making this female player an unpredictable one. Will we witness a female NPS champion this time? We can only hope and watch out for Choudhury!

Karan – 20,800,000 chips

Not very far behind is Karan aka ‘Walia1996,’ who is a mystery player with no information available. It will be interesting to see if this player is able to give his opponents a run for their money and turn the tables in his favour.

Arbaaz Ahmed – 10,600,000 chips

Arbaaz Ahmed aka ‘Abbc’ comes to the final table with the lowest stack. Ahmed is also a mystery player, so it will be interesting to see how long he can make his stack work in his favour.

After looking at this not-so-known line-up, one thing is assured, the FT will be unpredictable. Expect some nail-biting moments during the stream. The Golden Rush FT will be live-streamed tomorrow, 25th March 2022 at 1.30 PM. Stay tuned to gutshotmagazine.com to get all the latest updates on the NPS Main Event and NPS Golden Rush.
