Even the best in the world must plan out their activities and the following story proves that point. Canadian poker pro Daniel Negreanu is said to be one of the best poker players in the world, and one to have recorded the most winnings in live poker tournaments across the world. Even though he is one of the biggest names in poker, he still meticulously plans out his years, months and weeks. Wouldn’t you love to learn how to play poker from this guy?
At the start of the year, he took to his blog to set out his goals for the year, including profiting $2 million, winning another WSOP bracelet, crossing $40 million in live cashes, ending the year as #1 in the all-time earnings list and many more. He set these goals after announcing that 2017 saw him post two consecutive years of losses!
Recently, he used his blog once again, to reveal his summer schedule to his fans and viewers of his blog. He has mentioned a list of all events he plans to buy into during the summer and has revealed buy-ins of around $2 million over around 40 events. He planned his schedule in the build up to the WSOP, and the Super High Roller Bowl and other high roller events before the WSOP.
Negreanu mentioned 39 events that he will be playing across the summer, with an initial buy-in of $1,414,500, that could well go up to $2 million, depending on how many bullets and how many re-entries he uses across these tournaments. He also mentioned that if he runs deep in any particular tournament, he will miss ‘secondary’ tournaments.
Over the next couple of months, there are going to be a lot of $25k+ buy-in tournaments and a lot of happy poker players walking away with huuuuuge wins. Negreanu is one such player preparing himself and we’re pretty sure that players around the world are getting ready for the World Series too!
