Neeraj Kumar ships BSS PLO tourney on Pokerbaazi

PokerBaazi is known for its wide array of tournament offerings each Sunday. A part of their Sunday promotions is the Baazi Super Sundays (BSS) which offers a total of INR 25 lakh in guaranteed prizes in three different tournaments. One of them is the BSS PLO INR 5 lakh GTD tournament, which takes place every Sunday at 6:30pm IST.

Yesterday’s BSS PLO kicked off as scheduled and by the end of the late registration period, we had a total of 96 entries (57 players + 39 re-buys). PLO is a slightly lesser preferred format in India, but we still saw a decent field registering to the INR 5,500 buy-in tournament, with the top 9 players eventually getting paid out a min-cash of INR 15,000.

Coming out on top of this field was none other than Neeraj Kumar aka ‘SelfClaimedPro’, and we’re sure he’s not the only one believing he’s a pro at the moment. He finished in the money in the Monster 6-Max tournament yesterday on PokerBaazi too, where Yuvraj Singh took away top honoursKumar also won their Big Monday tournament just a couple of weeks back and seems to be on a roll in recent times.

He added INR 1.4 lakh to his poker bankroll after winning this tournament, finally beating ‘bencb789’ in heads-up by 11:02pm last night. The runner-up player won INR 95,000 and missed the major pay jump, making Kumar the only player to win a 6-figure cash in this tournament.

Rubin Labroo while in Vietnam, is still managing to make time for deep runs on PokerBaazi. Labroo plays under the name ‘kornkid’ across all platforms and here, he finished 4th for another small addition of INR 55,000 to his bankroll. Akshay Nasa aka ‘sherlock52’ finished in the money here as well, while also later shipping the Adda52 Millions for a whopping INR 6 lakh.

Gutshot caught up with Neeraj after this win. He said, “This turned out to be a crucial win that helped me reach to the second position on PokerBaazi’s Autumn Leaderboard to win an Australia package. I am happy with that.”
