Monday Round Up: Sanat Mehrotra & Gaurav Sood Clinch Top Monday Titles

The marquee tournaments hosted on the online poker platforms like Adda52 and PokerBaazi ran with a good number of player participation. India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) July 2021 has kept many pros busy, but that did not slow down the high-octave action on the other platforms. With many pros storming the online felts, here’s a quick lowdown on the Monday night action.

The Big Show – ₹7.5 Lakh GTD

Players on PokerBaazi were greeted with its Monday tournament, The Big Show. There were 297 total entries that participated in the tournament. Out of these, the top 36 entries made the money and were given a min-cash of ₹5,100. The ₹2,750 buy-in tournament was shipped by online reg Sanat Mehrotra aka ‘mehro2511’ who won the lion’s share of the prize pool and took home ₹1,66,000 in prize money. Harsh Dembla aka ‘100crdream’ was the event’s runner-up with ₹1,16,000 in prize money.

Aditya Kesharwani (3rd,₹74,780), Aditya Kulkarni (6th,₹33,230), Sagar Choudhury (8th,₹22,130), Manish Lakhotia (12th, ₹12,080), Kaushik Tibrewal (13th,₹9,900), IOPC Legends final tableist Armaan Kocchar (17th,₹8,475), Gutshot’s June Edition cover boy Siddhanth Kapoor (32nd, ₹5,100) and 21 Questions star Gaurav Sood (36th,₹5,100).

Iron Man – ₹8 Lakh GTD

The Iron Man on Adda52 is a Monday special for players. This ₹2,000 buy-in event had 438 entries battling it out. Players who made it to the top 49 places were paid a min-cash of ₹4,400. The event was shipped by FTS 2.0 Kick-Off winner, Gaurav Sood aka ‘gauravarod’ who pocketed ₹1,96,000 in winnings. Sood defeated Lavesh Meena aka ‘lavesh7’ who took the runner-up spot and cashed ₹1,16,000.

Other pros to make the money were Neeraj Kumar (3rd, ₹80,000), Shravan Chhabria (4th,₹60,000), Sanat Mehrotra (5th,₹40,000), Shashank Desai (8th,₹18,000), Faiz Alam (18th, ₹6,800), and Arjanveer Singh (27th,₹5,200).
