With over INR 4 crore of prizes up for grabs and a massive INR 1 crore GTD in the Main Event, this promised to be one of the biggest online poker tournaments in India.
On Sunday, 18th Feb, it was Manoj ‘killbill’ Pentakota who shipped the mega PPL spring edition Main Event, for the first-place prize of INR 28,23,600! Pentakota is an Indian poker pro that has taken down many big titles over the years, both live and online, and he beat quite a few Indian pros to win this PPL Main Event.
A field of 471 entries were registered to the Main Event, to go with an additional 253 re-entries and the tournament went on for a total of 8 and a half hours, before a winner was crowned. It was Siddharth ‘schemer’ Karia who reached heads up with Pentakota, but he had to settle for the runners up prize of INR 16.01 lakhs.
Final table results:
Pentakota has been around the Indian poker circuit since a while now, first coming to the limelight when he became the winner of The Spartan Poker‘s inaugural Millionaire tournament and following it up by winning the high roller event at the Deltin Poker Tournament in 2017, for INR 33,00,000. He also cashed out in major tournaments in Macau last year and he can now add this PPL Main Event victory to his list of poker achievements!
