‘MaalChaHee’ takes down SSS Flash (Lite) on Spartan

The Flash is one of The Spartan Poker’s most popular featured tournaments which takes place every Thursday night on their platform. The mini version of this tournament is The Flash (Lite) and this takes place every Thursday afternoon. Now, with the Spartan Super Series (SSS) taking place, The Flash (Lite) was played with a guaranteed prize pool of INR 5 lakh yesterday.

SSS Event #16 The Flash (Lite) 5 Lakh GTD was a 2pm kick-off and with a buy-in of INR 1,500, it attracted a total field of 340 entries. This allowed the top 27 finishers of the tournament to be paid out a minimum of INR 4,500 each. By 7:10pm last evening, we had the winner of the first tournament of SSS Day 4.

It was Level #40 of the tournament when the winner was finally declared, with the blinds running at 6,300/12,600 – 1,260. Here, ‘MaalChaHee’, who played on the FTRPoker platform, had chipped up to more than double of the amount of chips that his heads-up opponent ‘cvc’ had.

MaalChaHee was dealt 4c Qs and he decided to make a small bet on the 5c 4s 3h flop where he hit a pair of Fours. He checked on the Qh turn card where he completed two pairs. However, cvc raised 110k and MaalChaHee called. On the Kc river card, cvc completed a pair of Kings (as revealed later) so he moved all-in. MaalChaHee was happy to make the call with Queens and Fours, and he took down the pot as well as the title.
