Macau is slowly becoming one of the world’s most popular gambling destinations and you regularly see live poker tournaments and series taking place at various venues in Macau. The most recent of these is the Poker King Cup (PKC) being played at the Venetian Macau between 20-25th September 2018.
After the HKD 80k High Roller, all the focus turned towards the Main Event and yesterday marked the end of Day 3 of the PKC Main Event. The original field of 518 entries whittled down to 62 at the start of Day 3 and play didn’t stop until it further narrowed down to the official final table.
All the players yesterday were paid out with 63 players finishing in the money and the Day 2 chip leader Shi Qiang Lin busted his stack during the day. At the end of Day 3, it was Li Yu who ended as the chip leader but not by a big margin, finishing with a total of 3,445,000 in chips.
When play kicks off today, the final eight players will battle it out for the massive top prize of HKD 1,464,000 (~187,428) and this player will walk away much richer than how he began this tournament. The current pay-out is at HKD 195,200 for 8th place, for the first person who busts his stack on Day 4.
