Leon Menezes Ships Omaholic And First APT Title In Manila


APT Manila 2024 is ongoing and has created a list of new winners. And among them, Indian Leon Lionel Menezes has shipped Event #75: Omaholic.  The poker player wrote to his name PHP 104,555 (₹1,50,555) with this win. Menezes fought through a field of 46 entries to win the coveted title. The second-in-line was Japan’s Masataka Morishita, who took home PHP 73,000 (~$1,240).

Very little is known about Leon Menezes, initial research shows he is a semi-professional poker player. Menezes doesn’t have a Hendon Mob profile when writing this article. However, with this win, he has created a place for himself in poker history, domestic and global. The win is a definite addition to not just his confidence, but also to the Indian poker community. APT Manila 2024 is ongoing at City of Dreams, Manila, the Grand Ball Room. The series started on 28th October and will end on 7th November. It is one of Asia’s most prominent poker tournament series, renowned for its high-stakes games, diverse player pool, and strategic gameplay.
