Mobile companies are keeping up with the appetite of the gamers for convenience and powerful phones that can support mobile gaming. The rising popularity of mobile games in the country has caused many people to look for devices that can support their gaming activities. Therefore, it’s not a surprise that companies are now focused on designing products made for this specific market.
Recently, Lenovo released their latest gaming phone, the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2. This caught everyone’s attention due to its impressive specifications. The smartphone was launched on 8 April, 2021 and since then has been a subject of many phone reviews on websites and YouTube.
The phone has the Snapdragon 888 5G processor and has a 512GB storage space along with 18GB LPDDR5 RAM. For high quality visuals, it’s built with a 144Hz AMOLED display and has dual batteries with 5,500 mAh for a longer game time. While long hours of gaming often leave phones heated, the Lenovo Legion combats that with dual fans for cooling.
Other features of the smartphone include an enhanced 44 megapixel pop-up camera. Users will be able to take higher quality selfies with the help of the new AI feature, that is a better upgrade than the previous generation. Lenovo also lists virtual Octra-Trigger keys that will allow users to bind more weapons during their gaming sessions.
Overall, the phone’s impressive specs and features make it a good choice but there are some things to be noted. In a durability test performed by one YouTube channel called JerryRigEverything, it proved that the phone was not up for the challenge. The scratch test with a knife showed that the phone’s frame was easily scratched. Another area of failure was the strength test where a small pressure was applied to the body. This caused it to crack instantly, indicating that while the phone design and spec are impressive, it may not last very long. Now, with all this information, one can take a call or whether to go for this device or no.
