WATCH: Kristen Foxen Eliminates Hubby Alex In PGT Kickoff 2024 Event 5

Poker couples do get a lot of attention and even more when they lock horns on the poker table. Now think of a poker couple where the wife delivers a terrible bad beat to the husband on the live felts during a PokerGo Tour (PGT) game?

We aren’t daydreaming about this situation. This happened to our beloved poker couple Alex-Kristen Foxen. The duo made it to the final table of Event 5 in PGT Kickoff 2024. In the hand that led to Alex Foxen’s elimination thanks to his wife, the poker pro had Aces which Kristen comfortably cracked.

PGT Kickoff 2024: Kristen Foxen vs Alex Foxen

It is rather interesting to see husband-wife go head to head in a poker game, but Kristen and Alex were a delight to see for those who were watching. Kristen had Queens while her husband was dealt with Pocket Rockets.

Preflop action saw the lady raising with 130K while her rival in the hand threw in 280K. This move saw Kristen immediately go all-in and her hubby calls. Cards were revealed and the female pro wasn’t too excited to see Aces on the other side.

The dealer was ready to unveil the flop and tension was rising with every passing second. The commentators also mentioned witnessing a family feud but let’s not get carried away as both Alex and Kristen are professional poker players and not much drama was on display to see.

The dealer fanned out a flop of 4 Q 5 . This gave the female pro a set and kept her ahead. But with the turn and river still in waiting, anything could happen. The turn brought 2 and did nothing for Alex and his wife was still leading the hand. Finally, the river presented 8 and that meant it was game over for Alex, as his wife had won the hand with her Queens.

Alex bid adieu to the tournament in the fifth spot for $40,000 and Kristen went on to ship the top title ($165,000) after a fierce battle in heads-up against Daniel Negreanu ($105,000).
