Kanchan Sharma Lifts The DPT Women’s Event Trophy

Poker queen Kanchan Sharma shipped the ₹10K RE Women’s Special Single Day event. Sharma, a well known online and live reg walked away with ₹92,400 in prize money and a trophy. The runner-up in this event was Katya Joule, a Russian player who received ₹64,400 in prize money.

The tournament saw 24 entries, in total. Each level was of25 minutes each in the tournament with a starting stack of 15k blinds. On level 15, (Blinds 3000-6000 & Ante 6000) the game saw a heads- up for the title. The final hand of Godfather champion Sharma was Kd Ks while that of Katya was Jd Ah. The community cards were 4c 10d 7h Jc 10h. Sharma shipped the pot with two pairs. 

The final tablists included Sharma, Priya Agarwal, Armin, Pooja Doshi, Joule, Swetha, Vrushali, Simran Malhotra and Radhika Shankar. Some of the other notable players who grinded in this event included WPT Unreal Champion Ankita Ajay Malik, Ishita Arora, Payal Sharma, Priya Rasheed, Sunita Jakhar, Taruna Kamdar, Armin and Vrushali Kulkarni.

The top four players got paid in this prize pool event, worth ₹2,14,800. The min-cash stood at ₹21,500. While Pooja Doshi was the first person to triple up when on level 6, she busted to the fourth position. The next player who busted atthe third spot was Swetha. She busted two players in a single hand whileon the 12th level, and in the next two levels, she also busted. In a three-way action, Sharma, Katya, and Swetha played on the 14th level. Sweta went all-in but busted on the third position.
