Kabir Chhatwal, Others Clinch Crores At PokerBaazi G.O.A.T 2024

Kabir Chhatwal, Sanjay Chaudhary and others have created history at PokerBaazi G.O.A.T, which was part of the online poker platform’s 10th-anniversary celebrations. G.O.A.T (Greatest of All Tournaments) made some ‘Crorepatis’. The tournament wrapped up its two-week qualifier stage on Sunday, 13th October and the numbers spoke for its popularity. It got more than 15,000 entries with 1,118 players finishing in the payout.

The announced prize pool of this tournament was a whopping ₹25 Crore, the biggest ever single tournament prize pool in India, grabbing the attention of the Indian poker players. With the event culminating in a thrilling heads-up game, three players raked up Crores.

Kabir Chhatwal

Chhawal took home a mind-blowing ₹3.11 Crore and the G.O.A.T 2024 title. His win has made him ramp up on the list of highest cash-outs for Indians, ahead of Aayush Arya’s incredible WSOP bracelet win on 23rd September 2024, which saw him take ~₹2.76 Crore in prize money at the WSOP Online event #22 $400 COLOSSUS. With this one win, Chhatwal and others have etched their names in Indian and global poker history. Several other Indians made headlines at G.O.A.T, including the poker couple Gaurav Sood and Gunisha Sinha, with the wife outlasting her husband and taking home ₹7.50 Lakh, and ranking 15th.

Sanjay Chaudhary

Sanjay Chaudhary took home the biggest payout in Indian poker history, a massive ₹4.14 Crore. While Kabir Chhatwal took the title, Chaudhary cashed in for the higher payout. In the heads-up play, the two chopped a deal for the winner’s share of the total announced prize pool of 5 Crore and decided to continue playing for the glory of the title.

Mohammad Azhar

Azar also added his name to ‘Crorepati’ list, taking home ₹1 Crore. This is another big win for Mohammad Azhar, who is also the first-ever National Poker Series (NPS) Main Event champion. He has won three NPS gold medals and a whopping ₹72.35 Lakh at the inaugural series.
