Jai Saha leads 58 players from Day 1B of IPC Main Event


When you look at the Highroller and other high value tournaments in India and around the world, you won’t be too surprised to find Joey Saha always among the top names. That’s what has happened here too, making a deep run in the 100k Highroller and now leading a bunch of survivors from Day 1B of the IPC 50k Main Event too.

333 entries registered on Day 1B, taking the overall field to 693 which turned out to be one of the biggest fields in India for this buy-in. He managed to take forward a massive stack of 439,000 which not only makes him the chip leader for Day 1B but also the overall second chip leader going to Day 2, only behind Alok Birewar (460k).

16 Levels of play were scheduled on Day 1B and quite a few known names progressed including Laksh Pal Singh (429k) and Rohit Mishra (414k) who round up the top 3 stacks of the night. Remember, the prize pool was of INR 3.36 Crore which is being distrobuted to the top 86 players and INR 60+L is being reserved for the winner! 

Other known names in contention are Abhishek Rathod (331k), Anup Palod (330k) Vikram Kumar (294k), Neel Joshi (281k), Vaibhav Sharma (231k), IPC Director Rajeev Kanjani (211k), Eka Vedantham (156k), Abhishek Jalan (115k), Naresh Veeravalli (92k), Chetan Hansraj (87k), Gokul Raj (86k), Rubin Labroo (77k), Madhav Gupta (67k), and Ujjwal Narwal (61k).
