Jaydeep Knocking Players Out


One of the popular names in the Indian poker circuit, Jaydeep Dawer has knocked out two players in the WPT Prime India 2023 Main Event. The first casualty at the hands of Dawer was Vivek Rughani (22nd for ₹3,10,000) and the next player to exit was Mohit Kumar. Dawer is making sure the field is getting less competitive as he knocks his rivals out and inches closer to the final table of the coveted final table. Let’s take a look at the hand where Dawer hits a flush in style and shows his opponent the exit route.

Mohit Kumar (A ♣ 4   ) goes all-in with 285K from the button position. Dawer makes the call from big blind holding A   8 ♣. The dealer reveals the community cards as 6 5   J   3   7   . The four hearts on the board surely must have given Kumar a sinking feeling as his rival had the possibility of hitting a flush. But for Dawer’s opponent, the possibility turned into a brutal reality as Dawer did hit a flush on the river. Kumar finished 20th for a payday of ₹3,70,000.
