IOPC June 2022: Players With Maximum Cashes

The 13th edition of the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) ended on the 19th of June 2022, but we’re still hungover with the stupendous victories which players had. This is one of the biggest tournament series which offered 132 tournaments and a cumulative prize pool of ₹33 Crore. IOPC also presented a ₹1 Lakh worth leaderboard which is the ladder through which consistent players get rewarded. 

We have already given you the winners list, leaderboard topper details, and much more but are you wondering who finished in the money (ITM) maximum number of times? Here’s a list of the top players who cashed the most number of times.

Dinesh Pilkhwal, who was the runner-up of the IOPC June 2022 leaderboard tops the list apart from shipping four IOPC titles, and having 88 ITMs. Talking about the same, here’s what Pilkhwal has to say, “I am overall happy with what I could pull off during IOPC 2022, as I never thought that I had the patience to grind for long hours for the entire schedule. I think the volume was the key for my IOPC results.” Leaderboard crushers Varun Meena, Himanshu Arora, Bhanu Prakash, Mohit Mehta, Vinay Rajpal, Anurag Srivastava, and Gopal Bajaj have also made it to the top.

Although some players like Goonjan Mall, Mohak Kapoor, Kritagya Sharma, Himanshu Arora, Gadadhar Behera did not clinch titles, they managed to finish in the money for an impressive number of times. Talking about the same, Bengaluru-based Mall added, “It’s a matter of showing up and playing a lot of events. This time I wanted to experience the grind of a large tournament series (something I had never done before). Achieving these ITMs consistently has now given me the confidence that I can pull off a series grind and hopefully give the leaderboard legend Mr Bhanu Prakash a run for his money.”

Two players who clinched only one title and still made it to this list were Poker Bootcamp India camper Areyann Gurbaxani who cashed 51 times while Gaurav Bhutra finished in the money 63 times. Although IOPC is about titles and recognition, your consistency gets rewarded even if you do not ship events but make it in the money. This is why the brand introduced the ₹1 Crore leaderboard, which awarded the top 10 players in the leaderboard race.
