IOPC Jan 2018 Main Event Winner – ‘kajuman’


With the next edition of India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) starting on 2nd June 2022, the virtual felts are gearing up for a month of thrilling online poker action. The 13th edition of IOPC will be hosted on Spartan Poker, BLITZPOKER, and PokerHigh. This edition promises bigger guarantees and is sure to keep the players longing for more. One tournament that will always be a highlight is the IOPC Main Event which offers the heftiest prize pool in the tournament series.

Players will do everything in their power to clinch this prestigious title and a lion’s share of this jaw-dropping prize pool. While there is still some time left for IOPC June 2022 to begin, let’s take a look at one of the past IOPC Main Event winners who managed to grab the shiny crown for himself. The 4th edition of IOPC witnessed player ‘kajuman’ make his way to the top and become the fourth player to take home an IOPC Main Event title.

Who is ‘kajuman’?

Player ‘kajuman’ on Spartan Poker was the player of the moment when the IOPC Main Event ended in January 2018. Beating a player pool of 1,470 entries, he emerged victorious in this marquee event. This former IOPC ME winner took home a prize money worth ₹37.5 Lakh which was the biggest share of the ₹1.5 Crore prize pool. ‘kajuman’ defeated a player nicknamed ‘bullgod’ in the heads-up clash and etched his name in poker history.

Other Online Wins

Apart from his IOPC Main Event win, Brijwasi also won ₹2,92,250 after he finished 6th in Spartan Poker’s Grand Poker Series (GPS) #19 High Roller ₹50 Lakh GTD tournament. He also finished 28th at the IOPC July 2020 Main Event for ₹1,99,969.

Live Event Exploits

While many of this player’s poker exploits have been confined to the online space, he did play a live event in November 2018. It was the World Poker Tour (WPT) DeepStacks event held in Panjim, Goa. As per Hendon Mob, ‘kajuman’ finished in the money at the 67th position for $1,518. He currently ranks 1,131st in the India All-Time Money List.
