IOPC Day 7: Rahul Kumar Ships Wednesday Prime For Over 10 Lakh


The ongoing India Online Poker Championship successfully completed its Day 7 yesterday. Although it was a lowkey day being midweek, that did not deter the players from clinching the coveted IOPC titles. Here’s what action the day had to offer:

IOPC #45 – ₹4 Lakh GTD

The first event of Day 7 saw 736 entries which included 310 unique entries, 101 re-entries and 325 rebuys. Out of these, the top 39 places made it in the money. The min-cash stood at ₹2,760.

Amar Mehta Takes Down APT Main Event For 17.5 Lakh

Unnikrishnan Nair aka ‘swimminwdafishies’ took the top spot and added ₹80,200 to his bankroll. ‘Aladdin1’ pocketed ₹53,320 for his runner-up finish.

IOPC #46 – ₹8 Lakh GTD

This event had a player field of 373 entries, i.e., 179 unique entries, 52 re-entries and 142 rebuys. Gaurav Bhutra aka ‘Mr.Bond007’ struck a deal with unknown player ‘guru’ to grab the title and a prize money worth ₹1,49,319. The mystery player cashed ₹1,33,800 in prize money. The top 31 places made the money in this tournament. The min-cash stood at ₹7,040.

IOPC #47 – ₹7 Lakh GTD

This event saw participation from 637 total entries (300 unique entries, 64 re-entries and 273 rebuys). The top 47 places made it in the money, and the min-cash paid was ₹3,990. Siddharth Gangwar aka ‘cooking_nuts’ topped the table and added ₹1,36,430 to his bankroll, while Mohit Mehta aka ‘thejoker’ settled for the runner-up spot for ₹86,660.

IOPC #48 – ₹7 Lakh GTD

520 entries, 112 re-entries and 447 rebuys were seen grinding at IOPC #48 for a final prize pool of ₹7,55,300. Out of these the top 87 places cashed at this event taking home a min-cash of ₹2,341. The final prize pool of ₹7,55,300 mildly surpassed the initial guarantee.

Mystery player ‘abhighosh31’ topped the table for a payday of ₹1,44,639. Another unknown player called ‘Ranjan123’ was the runner-up for ₹90,031.

IOPC #49 Wednesday Prime – ₹55 Lakh GTD

Wednesday Prime, which was the biggest event of Day 7, witnessed a player field of 1,083 entries (533 unique entries, 206 re-entries and 344 rebuys), battling it out for the top spot. Out of these, the top 103 places made the money and the min-cash paid was ₹14,850.

IOPC #50 Wednesday Spotlight – ₹17 Lakh GTD

Wednesday Spotlight had 1,187 total entries slogging hard which included 563 unique players, 188 re-entries and 436 rebuys. The final prize pool of ₹17,80,500 surpassed the original guarantee by a very thin margin. The top 111 places finished in the money and the min-cash at this tourney stood at ₹4,451.

Prabhat Saini aka ‘R5R5R5R5R5’ claimed the top spot at this event and enjoyed a payday of ₹3,36,336. Mohit Goyal aka ‘mogo’ finished at the runner-up spot for ₹2,04,935.
