IOPC Day 2: Two Consecutive Titles For Dinesh Pilkhwal


Day 2 of the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) June 2022 ended on a high note and this stands true for Dinesh Pilkhwal. Players strive hard to grab one IOPC title, but for Pilkhwal it was his second consecutive win on Day 2 of the event. Several online regs like Mohit Mehta, Armaan Kochhar, IOPC January 2022 Main Event winner Amit Gehani, and Anurag Srivastava shipped winning titles yesterday. Here’s a quick recap of Day 2.

IOPC #8 – ₹5 Lakh GTD

IOPC #8 was the first event of Day 2. The event had 365 unique entries, 142 add-ons and 521 re-entries. The tournament’s initial guarantee was surpassed by a very thin margin and the final prize pool stood at ₹5,14,000. The top 47 places cashed at this event and the min-cash stood at ₹2,929.

Gutshot Magazine’s February 2022 cover star and IOPC January 2022 Main Event winner Amit Gehani aka ‘kavipri’ struck a deal with mystery player ‘aggshank’ to grab the title and ₹87,398 in prize money. The unknown player who had shipped the IOPC Launch Party on Day 1 added ₹76,413 to his bankroll for his runner-up finish.

IOPC #9 – ₹8.5 Lakh GTD

IOPC #9 had 556 total entries slogging hard for the top spot. There were 268 entries, 80 re-entries and 208 rebuys. The min-cash at this tourney stood at ₹4,845 and the top 47 places made it in the money.

Aman Pararkh aka ‘KarmaPoker’ topped the table for ₹1,65,665. ‘ASWIN21’ finished at the runner-up spot for ₹1,05,230.

This event had 634 total entries (328 entries, 67 re-entries and 239 rebuys). The final prize pool of ₹5,07,200 mildly surpassed the initial guarantee. The min-cash at this tourney stood at ₹2,485.

FTS Day 2: Srivastava, Singh, And Rawat Clinch Titles

IOPC January 2022 Millionaire Main Event winner Anurag Srivastava aka ‘CultOfPersonality’ clinched the title and cashed ₹98,396, while the runner-up ‘auderman’ cashed ₹62,385.

IOPC #11 Deepstack – ₹10 Lakh GTD

The initial guarantee of this Deepstack event was surpassed and the final prize pool stood at ₹10,10,000. The event had a total of 1,010 entries which was pretty impressive. Out of the total number of entries, 526 were unique players, re-entries stood at 106 and 378 were rebuys. The top 87 places made it in the money and the min-cash stood at ₹3,131.

Online reg Mohit Mehta aka ‘thejoker’ shipped the Deepstack title for ₹1,44,582. Sameer Agarwal aka ‘_chipsy_’ finished at the runner-up spot for ₹1,39,493.

IOPC #12 Friday Prime – ₹22 Lakh GTD

Friday Prime saw the advertised guarantee being crushed. The final prize pool stood at ₹24,21,900. The top 223 places out of the massive 2,691 entries (850 entries, 664 re-entries and 1,177 rebuys) got paid. The min-cash paid in this event was ₹2,882.

Online reg Armaan Kochhar aka ‘space ace’ topped the table and added ₹4,25,043 to his bankroll. At the runner-up spot, Shrey Baj aka ‘Kingsb30’ cashed ₹2,40,736.

IOPC #13 Friday Spotlight – ₹55 Lakh GTD

Friday Spotlight surpassed its initial guarantee to generate a final prize pool of ₹56,70,000. The top 55 places took home a share from the prize pool. The min-cash paid at the Friday Spotlight event was ₹27,783. The number of total entries stood at 567 (287 entries, 114 re-entries and 166 rebuys).

Puneet Mishra aka ‘potpoker’ took down the tourney and added ₹8,26,431 to his bankroll. Shailendra Pradhan aka ‘TIMBOOR’ finished second and took a pay cheque of ₹7,93,659.

IOPC #14 All Rounder – ₹11 Lakh GTD

The All-Rounder event had a total of 763 entries (371 unique players, 130 re-entries and 262 rebuys) fighting hard for the top spot. The top 71 places took home a portion of the final prize pool—₹11,44,500 prize pool. The min-cash stood at ₹4,349.

Dinesh Pilkhwal

Dinesh Pilkhwal aka ‘$Lucky Guy$’ clinched his second consecutive IOPC title after nailing this tournament for ₹1,99,482. On Day 1 of IOPC June 2022, Pilkhwal won the IOPC #2 event for ₹1,63,023. Mystery player ‘Rahul4444s’ took the runner-up spot in the All Rounder event for ₹1,60,577.
