The biggest attraction right now in the country in the poker world is Spartan Poker‘s India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) INR 25 Crores GTD. We are already halfway through it and yesterday marked the end of another set of events with Millionaire Legends being the star-studded tournament of the day. Besides, Sunday SuperStack and Big Daddy also observed a surge of players walking out with their hefty bundles. And here is the complete summary of IOPC Day 11…
The first tourney of the day promised INR 6 Lakhs in guarantee attracting a field of 495 entries for INR 7.42 Lakhs worth prize money. Racing ahead of the rest was Rajesh Tallapaneni aka ‘Unpredictable1’ who defeated Anant Purohit aka ‘Pro’ in heads-up dominating him with his QQQ33 in the final hand to grab the prestigious title.
The buy-in reduced to become INR 880 which pulled in 836 entries enough to drive past the guarantee and create INR 6.68 Lakhs in prize pool. The tourney concluded after a 6-way deal which eventually saw Harpreet Saluja aka ‘preet123’ capturing the IOPC title while ‘Dwann’ secured the second place payout.
The 72nd event of IOPC pulled in 392 entries, once again, successfully surpassing the advertised guarantee. The last man standing was Shashank Desai aka ‘Jai Bajrangbali’ who knocked out ‘mnac’ in heads-up, emerging triumphant and grabbing the largest share from INR 3.92 Lakhs prize pool. The top 31 players also received a min-cash.
The first-ever Millionaire United champ Mahima Walia Das aka ‘mambojojo’ took down the Sunday flagship event of Spartan Poker. The INR 5,500 buy-in tourney registered 1,214 entries out of which the top 119 were paid out. Climbing to the top, Das outlasted ‘KUVERA33’ in heads-up and bagged her first IOPC title in the ongoing series.
Capturing his second IOPC title this series in Event #74 INR 6.5L GTD tourney was circuit regular Anish Suri aka ‘anishsuri’. The event attracted 716 entries and 63 players received a min-cash of INR 3,114. Suri dominated ‘mariokart’ in heads-up battle and he added the lion’s share from INR 7.16 Lakhs prize pool to his poker bankroll. On Day 1 of IOPC, the winner powered through a field of 715 entries and claimed IOPC #6 INR 15L GTD title.
The IOPC version’s Millionaire Legends had to be the biggest attraction of the day featuring INR 1.5 Crore GTD. The tournament produced a guarantee-smashing prize pool of INR 2.04 Crores and the colossal prize money belonged to Sriharsha Doddapaneni aka ‘Potato Player’ who outlasted the field and claimed the biggest payday! The huge score boosted his bankroll after outlasting ‘Queenhigh’ in heads-up. The INR 27,500 buy-in event attracted a field of 819 entries out of which 127 received a paycheck.
The final event of the day drew a field 721 entries, each one of whom hoping to grab the first place cash prize. The tourney ended with a heads-up deal that saw ‘Hiteshh’ clinching to the first place prize money after beating ‘cardshark91’ in heads-up. A minimum cash of INR 5,700 was well-distributed among the top 71 players. For more updates on IOPC July 2020, keep reading GutshotMagazine.com and stay tuned!
