World Poker Tour (WPT) 2019 halted at another stop in Asia Swing after Vietnam and Japan, brightening up the Eastern zone, full of festivities. WPT Korea kicked off on September 17th to host 6 days jammed with a wide range of tournaments at Paradise Casino in Incheon.

Besides, the usual Main Event there were other 2 successful tournaments that highlighted the evenings, Main Event Warm Up and High Rollers. The 2-day Main Event Warm Up saw a field of 88 players entering with a buy-in of KRW 800,000. The prize pool reached KRW 61,459,200. The tournament allowed single re-entry per person.

The final table with 8 remaining players was lit by the Chinese flag heating-up the competition. Eventually, Igor Kim from Uzbekistan paved his way to shut the 7 players out of the competition. Kim managed to defeat Zhang Bolei to ship the 1st prize of KRW 20 million adding to his greatest lifetime career cash.

  3. Roman Shcherbakov – KRW 7,450,000
  4. Yuan Yilu – KRW 5,040,000

  7. Zhang Fang – KRW 2,550,000
  8. Huang Yiqing – KRW 2,150,000
  9. Ryusuke Matsuo – KRW 1,985,000

Another event concluded this weekend, with the HR attracting a massive number of poker players from around the Asia-Pacific. The KRW 5 million Single Day High Roller registered 29 players generating a prize pool KRW 133,617,500. The tournament was decorated with numerous top players and the evening crowned the Asian star Danny Tang claiming the prize money.

Tang sits on the 2nd position in Hong Kong All Time Money List with an enormous $7.5 million in total live earnings. He was last recorded to win $50,000 High Roller of WSOP 2019, Las Vegas. He has been picking over $1.1 million flows of cash since last month.

  2. Wai Kiat Lee – KRW 36,080,000
  3. Yuichiro Ishimoto – KRW 22,710,000
  4. Martijn Gerrits Johannes – KRW 14,697,500
