As the first live stream of Final Table Series 3.0 (FTS) commenced, all keenly observed the nail-biting action. Leading with 86 big blinds (BB) was poker pro Haider Madraswala aka ‘Callmebabe’ who eventually won the FTS 3.0 Friday Special event. Let’s take a quick recap of the final table (FT) action.
Ram Kakkar aka ‘JohnnieRunner-Runner’ was the first to bust out. While Kakkar held his own for some time, Akshay Kapoor aka ‘AustralianAccountant’ knocked him out of the game. The online reg got ₹1,22,000 in prize money for his eighth-place finish. After a few minutes of gameplay, Kapoor busted in the seventh position for ₹1,66,000 right after Kakkar.
Guneet Kwatra aka ‘GeeKay’ was among the favourites to win the game. While he entered the FT with a chip stack of 12,72,014 chips (53 BB), Kwatra fell short towards the end. He ultimately busted at the sixth position for ₹2,26,000.
Busting in the fifth position was online reg Mohit Mehta aka ‘thejoker.’ Given that Mehta started with only 9 BB, his fifth-place finish is noteworthy. In the end, he added ₹2,96,000 to his bankroll.
Naresh M aka ‘money_bomb’ busted in the fourth place, just two positions above where he started on the FT. While he did pretty well, Naresh departed with ₹3,75,500 in his pockets.
In the third position was Sathyandev Yadav aka ‘yoda23’ who had the second-highest chip stack at the start of the FT. Yadav was moving towards the winning title with the help of his stack (13,62,004 chips). However, he missed reaching the final table heads up and walked home with a pay cheque of ₹4,64,000.
Entering the FT with only 8 BB and finishing at the second position was Arunkumar Singh aka ‘denoi.’ He climbed up the ranks from the lowest stack of 1,87,030 chips to become the event’s runner-up. He walked away with ₹6,19,000 in prize money.
Right from the get-go, Haider Madraswala was a favourite to win the first feature tournament of FTS 3.0. Storming his way through a sea of 460 total entries, Madraswala kept knocking players out. In the end, he took home the prestigious FTS 3.0 title for a massive sum of ₹9,74,500.
