This impressive number (1,124) means that over 10% of the field will consist of GGPoker online qualifiers. If any of these qualifiers wins the Main Event, they will receive an additional $1 Million bonus. Isn’t that amazing? Sure is!
The WSOP 2024 Main Event kicked off amid high energy and equally high expectations from the event to smash records. In the midst of all the Main Event hustle-bustle, GGPoker.com has released its official qualifier figures. A total of 1,124 players will participate in the $10,000 Main Event thanks to GGPoker, broken down as follows:
These figures surpass last year’s 744 qualifiers, contributing to the record-breaking 10,043 entries in the 2023 Main Event. “We are proud to be sending over 1,100 players to this year’s WSOP Main Event, showcasing the strong partnership between GGPoker and WSOP,” said Paul Burke, Head of Public Relations at GGPoker. “The GGPoker players arriving in Las Vegas this week will bring a unique blend of enthusiasm and competitive spirit to the WSOP tables, and I expect some of them to be in contention at the final table,” further added Burke.

Joshua Feiger was the chip lead at the end of Day 1A with a stack of 311,900. Many notable players also progressed further from Day 1A. Among them were Rayan Chamas (162,000), Jon Pardy (161,700), Matt Affleck (161,700), Bin Weng (152,000), Parker Talbot (107,600), Barny Boatman (70,000), and Chad Holloway (16,900).
Three bracelet winners also secured top 10 stacks at the end of Day 1A. Two-time champion Frank Funaro (265,000) finished in third place, with Naoya Kihara (228,300) and Pedro Bromfman (224,600) ending in ninth and 10th place, respectively. Of the 915 total entries, 620 survived to move forward.
Day 1B of the 2024 WSOP Main Event at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas concluded after five two-hour levels. George Dolofan with a stack of 314,000 led the pack of survivors. From WSOP 2004 Main Event champion Greg Raymer’s ceremonial “Shuffle Up and Deal!” to the final hand after midnight, roughly 830 players paid the $10,000 buy-in, all aiming for a historic victory.
Towards the end, 616 players remained in the game with chips and a seat for Day 2ABC. Among them, Poker Hall of Famer and 1988 Main Event runner-up Erik Seidel ended the day strong with 183,600 in chips, thanks to a late surge where he cracked his opponent’s aces with a flopped set of kings. Indian pro Sanat Mehrotra also advanced to Day 2 with a stack of 52,800.
