GGPoker and King’s announce Boris Becker as brand ambassador

One of the leading brands in Asia, GGPoker’s expansion efforts has taken a whole new direction this week. The former world’s No. 1 professional tennis player and six-time major singles winner, Boris Becker is the latest stellar name to sign with GGPoker as a brand ambassador. Working the GGPoker, Becker will also represent King’s Resort Rozvadov, Europe’s biggest poker room.

Now the brand has two European onboard with the German player becoming the latest addition to Team GGPoker just after a week esports and poker legend Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier joined. In 2019, the platform signed big names from the poker industry including Daniel Negreanu, Bryn Kenney, and Felipe Ramos who are all wearing GGPoker patch.

Becker will be the brand ambassador for the upcoming WSOP Online Super Circuit Series that will run throughout May 2020, featuring 18 WSOPC gold ring events and Becker is hoping to add his $100k live earnings. He said, “I am thrilled to work with GGPoker and King’s and am looking forward to competing with players around the world on the very best poker platform. With the WSOP Super Circuit Online Series just around the corner, I’m hoping to add a WSOP Circuit ring to my Grand Slam wins.” 

Ever since its launch in 2014, GGPoker has grown tremendously leaving behind its competitors. It is interesting to note that, their expansion has brought quite a few ex-PokerStars pros. Just like Negreanu, Felipe and ElkY, Becker also represented PokerStars from 2007 to 2014 after which he jumped in to join hands with partypoker in 2016. Becker is driven by a fierce competitive streak which is a bonus to the online brand.

Jean-Christophe Antoine, Head of GGPoker, welcomed the newest member by saying, “The addition of both a sporting great like Boris and a respected poker brand like King’s to the GGPoker roster means we continue to go from strength to strength.
