It has been a fairly successful series so far for Baazi Poker Tour (BPT), making a comeback to the live scene after 3 long years. All the guarantees have been crushed so far and the latest tournament to kick off was the INR 20k Bounty Event which attracted 220 entries and generated a prize pool worth INR 19.36 Lakh!
The top 27 places are assured a payout in this tournament with a min-cash of INR 16,100 plus bounties and by the end of day’s play yesterday on board the Casino Pride 2, we had just 10 players left in the running, led by Gangadhar Raaj who has had a good series so far. He also was the chip leader on Day 1D of the 50k Main Event a couple of nights back.
9th in the Kick-Off Event and 16th in the Main Event means Raaj has been one of the most consistent players in this series so far. Here, he bagged 741,000 chips to Day 2 and is way ahead of the next best Gurukumar G (526,000) and Yuvraj Singh (454,000). Other known names in the final 10 are Vivek Rughani (412,000), Gokul Krishna (304,000) and Vinayak Bajaj (237,000).
Before the day came to a close, a few players took home cash prizes and the notables among them were Abhishek Goindi (25th), Vineet Kumar (24th), Prashanth Sekar (19th), Alok Birewar (18th), and PokerStars Team Pro Muskan Sethi (12th). Kanchan Sharma was the last elimination of the day and the tournament will resume today at 7pm where we will play down till a winner.
