Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is a multiplayer first-person shooter video game. Released in 2014, the game was the fourth installment to the Counter-Strike series. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Major Championships or Majors is an official esports tournament hosted by Valve. The first competition was held in Sweden in 2013 and since then has grown exponentially.
Among esports enthusiasts and renowned gamers, the Major is one of the most prestigious esports tournaments. Currently, team Astralis are the defending champions with four Major titles under their belt. With esports steadily rising to become one of the top sporting events in the world, CS:GO is already ahead of the curve.
