Friday Round Up: Sandeep Thakral, Dishani Vijay & Jaideep Sajwan Ship Marquee Tournaments

On Friday, many were busy with Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in the country. However, the action on the online felts continued with undying enthusiasm. Even with the ongoing Final Table Series 3.0 (FTS), poker players flocked the virtual felts of PokerBaazi, Adda52, and PokerStars to win big. Here’s a full report on what went down.

The Adda52 event saw 310 entries taking part to clinch the top title. These entries paid a buy-in of ₹7,500 to enter the tournament. Out of these, only the top 34 places were paid. The min-cash stood at ₹15,750. It was Sandeep Thakral aka ‘thak’ who shipped the tournament and took home ₹5,62,500 in prize money. In runner-up position was mystery player ‘arushiagarwal’ who walked away with ₹3,40,875.

The Weekly Highroller – ₹12 Lakh GTD

The Weekly Highroller on PokerBaazi drew in a crowd of 162 entries. This popular ₹11,000 buy-in tournament was a success. The event crushed its initial guarantee, and the final prize pool stood at ₹16,20,000. Top 18 places were paid. The min-cash stood at ₹21,220. Dishani Vijay aka ‘Dishvish’ won the tournament and added ₹4,17,000 to her bankroll. Suresh Kolli aka ‘oil_trader’ was the runner-up, who received ₹2,92,000 in prize money.

Uppercut Magic Edition – ₹10 Lakh GTD

On PokerStars, the Uppercut Magic Edition tournament is a pretty well-known event. This progressive knockout tournament had a buy-in of ₹4,400. 244 entries stormed the online felts for a shot at victory. The top 24 places were paid. The min-cash was ₹5,754. In the end, it was Jaideep Sajwan aka ‘NNomadas’ who nailed the tourney. He earned a bounty of ₹1,10,000 and ₹87,635 in prize money. In all, Sajwan added ₹1,97,635 to his bankroll. Right behind him was player ‘dev149’ who pocketed ₹1,22,791 in prize money.
