Friday Round Up: Jyoti Nayak & Vinayak Bajaj Grab Winning Titles This Diwali!


Even as the Diwali celebrations were going on in full swing, the poker action did not slow down. Poker brands rolled out some of their biggest tournaments while players competed for some epic winning titles. Poker pros were playing and celebrating on the online felts and here is the full recap of that action.

The Elite – ₹22 Lakh GTD

Spartan Poker held its Elite tournament with an advertised guarantee of ₹22 Lakh. This amount was promptly crushed as the tournament generated a final prize pool of ₹28,10,000. 281 entries took part in this ₹11,000 buy-in event. The top 27 players made the money and the min-cash stood at ₹28,100. The event ended when Priyank Soni aka ‘ranksster’ aka defeated online reg Anant Purohit aka ‘Prometheius.’ Soni added ₹6,22,415 to his bankroll. Purohit walked away with ₹4,20,095 for his runner-up finish.

The Ballers Junior – ₹16.2 Lakh GTD

Adda52 decided to shake things up as it hosted its Ballers Junior tournament which had a ₹16.2 Lakh guarantee. There were 324 total entries that battled it out for the top spot. The buy-in of the tournament was ₹5,500 and the top 34 places were paid. The min-cash stood at ₹11,340. It was Jyoti Nayak aka ‘joey114114’ who grabbed the title spot and took a paycheque of ₹3,37,756. Online reg Vishnu Khandelwal aka ‘violator’ was the runner-up for  ₹3,12,674.

The Weekly Highroller – ₹12 Lakh GTD

Friday Round Up: Vinayak Bajaj & Ram Kakkar Nailed Top Titles

A total of 141 entries stormed the online felts of PokerBaazi to play in the Weekly Highroller event. The event had a buy-in of ₹11,000. The advertised guarantee was crushed and the final prize pool was ₹14,10,000. The top 18 places received a piece from the prize pool. The min-cash paid was ₹18,470. Online reg Vinayak Bajaj aka ‘salmanbhai’ clinched the winning title and took home a paycheck of ₹3,63,000. The runner-up was mystery player ‘madhumangal’ who went home with ₹2,54,000 in his pockets.
