Friday Round Up: Aditya Singh Ships PokerBaazi’s Weekly Highroller & Cashes 4,17,000


Online poker platforms conducted high-value tournaments on Friday. Adda52 and PokerBaazi hosted The Ballers and Weekly Highroller on their respective platforms. The events garnered a lot of attention as pros and newbies flooded the virtual felts to compete.

Online reg Aditya Singh shipped the Weekly Highroller and cashed ₹4,17,000. These are just the highlights, keep reading further to know more about all that happened in the tournaments last night.

The Ballers – ₹22.5 Lakh

The Ballers tournament on Adda52 is a staple ₹7,500 buy-in event. The tournament had 355 entries in total and the top 38 players were paid a min-cash of ₹14,591. The tournament was shipped by Jitesh Kumar aka ‘shooter19’ who received a pay cheque of ₹6,07,938. The advertised guarantee of this event was ₹22.5 Lakh but it was surpassed by a thin margin and the final prize pool stood at ₹24,31,755. 

Notable players who made it in the money were Aditya Singh (10th, ₹36,476), Gokul Raj (5th, ₹1,31,315), Sahil Mahboobani (14th, ₹26,749), Naresh Veeravalli (18th, ₹23,102), Sanat Mehrotra (28th, ₹17,022), Adda52 Game Ambassador, Kunal Patni (38th, ₹14,591) among others.

Weekly HighRoller – ₹12 Lakh GTD

PokerBaazi has been hosting the ₹11,000 buy-in event every week. The tournament had 162 entries in total and online reg Aditya Singh clinched the winning title. He cashed an impressive ₹4,17,000 in prize money. Apart from this, Singh also made it in the money in the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) July 2021 #124 Friday Spotlight tournament. He busted on the 17th spot for ₹64,092.  

The event had an advertised guarantee of ₹12 Lakh, but it was crushed massively and the new prize pool stood at ₹16,20,000.

The top 18 players in this tournament were paid a min-cash of ₹21,220. Notable players who made it in the money were Mithun Mahesh (3rd, ₹1,88,000), 2020 Millionaire Main Event winner Anurag Srivastava (4th, ₹1,39,000), Kritagya Sharma (6th, ₹83,430), National Poker Series Main Event winner Mohammad Azhar (7th, ₹69,340), Siddhanth Kripalani (8th, ₹55,570), Vishnu Khandelwal (11th, ₹30,290), Naresh Veeravalli (13th, ₹24,950), Romit Advani (17th, 21,220) among others.

Since this event was a Highroller, several poker pros slogged it out to grab the top spot. But sadly some pros couldn’t make any money in this highly-anticipated event. Poker pro and IOPC July 2021 commentator, Kanchan Sharma busted at the 21st spot, Adda52 Game Ambassador, Kunal Patni busted at 23rd spot. Arun Sriram fired two bullets (24th), Karan Sitlani (26th), Sanat Mehrotra fired two bullets (39th), Myron Pereira fired three bullets (44th), Gokul Raj fired three bullets (45th) and Sanish Chhabra with two bullets (46th) left empty handed.
