Final 8 of Big Millions 2.0 Decided

The poker scene has been gradually evolving in India over the years, with a number of high guarantee tournaments being hosted by poker companies. The Spartan Poker began with their signature tournament called the Millionaire, while PokerBaazi came up with Moneymaker and Adda52 started one as well. Not too long ago, they launched a new tournament offering called the Big Millions, which was a hybrid of online as well as live poker play. This very much follows the way the WSOP used to be played at one point of time.

The inaugural Big Millions tournament took place in March 2018 and after the tournament reached the final 8, the table was suspended, and all players were flown down to Goa to battle it out live, for the title. Kalyan Chakravarthy won that tournament for INR 28.5 lakh and he also won a chance to have dinner with Bollywood actress and Adda52 celebrity pro Minissha Lamba.

The success of that tournament saw Big Millions 2.0 being scheduled for just a couple of months later – 6th May. The INR 11,000 buy-in tournament kicked off at 5 pm IST and saw a total of 596 registered players and 391 re-entries, adding up to a total of 987 entries, as compared to the 1175 entries seen in the first edition.

A total of 63 players would get paid out in this tournament, with a minimum cash prize of INR 25,000. Now, the top 8 users will be flown down to play the Final Table, Live at the Deltin Royale poker room in Goa, where the winner will receive the top prize of INR 25.5 lakh. Here are the current chip counts of the final table:

  • Ivey2 – 41,60,978
  • degen88 – 23,68,340
  • zzzzz369 – 21,48,410
  • ronaldo94 – 21,47,196
  • newkidpoker – 11,89,318
  • gameofdeath – 11,05,372
  • spacecadet – 10,31,828
  • rohit22rm – 6,53,558

The INR 1 crore GTD tournament has now been paused and the tournament will continue live in Goa on 15th May, where these 8 players will battle it out for the title and an exclusive chance to qualify to the Adda52 Poker Hall of Fame. The last Big Millions tournament was live streamed on Adda52 LIVE’s Facebook page and you can expect the same this time as well. If you miss that, don’t forget to come back to GutshotMagazine.com for a roundup of this final table and its eventual winner.
