Farzad Bonyadi Wins WSOP Event #49, Takes Home Fourth Bracelet

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) witnessed poker player Farzad Bonyadi add a fourth bracelet to his belt after he shipped Event #49: $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw. Bonyadi emerged victorious after fighting through a sea of 122 players. The Iranian-born poker pro is currently based in California and according to The Hendon Mob has more than $4 million in live-tournament earnings.

His last WSOP bracelet was clinched back in 2005 in a $2,500 No-Limit Hold’em tournament for $600,000. Which means that this spectacular victory comes after a 16-year gap for Bonyadi. He has now joined the list with famous names like Joe Cada, Huck Seed, Brian Hastings, and Mike Motusow all who have four WSOP bracelets under their belts.

In the final table, Bonyadi was joined by pro players like Benny Glaser, Johannes Becker, Julien Martini, and Poker Hall of Famer Daniel Negreanu. With a star-studded FT, it is an unbelievable moment for Bonyadi who mentioned that he hasn’t played poker in over two years.
