EPT Cyprus 2023 ME: Ankit Ahuja Makes Final Table

Indian poker player Ankit Ahuja has made it to the final table of the European Poker Tour (EPT) Cyprus 2023 $1,100 Eureka Main Event (ME). After entering Day 3 of the coveted ME as the chip lead, boasting a stack of 10,105,000 chips, the poker pro is currently positioned in third place with 15,625,000 chips against his name.

Ahuja had started the day with a massive advantage as the chip leader, but he took three big hits at the start, pushing him down the chip counts. However, he recovered well and reclaimed some of those lost chips. The Indian poker pro will be eager to do well and record a better rank than his fifth-place finish during the Estrellas Main Event (ESPT) at EPT Barcelona in September 2023.

Coming back to the EPT Cyprus 2023 ME, Eduard Norel, with 19,575,000 chips, finds himself leading the final six who are still in contention to walk away with the title. The Romanian had a successful outing in Cyprus in 2016, having won $35,010 and a tournament here. He will be eager to repeat that result this time and is already guaranteed his most significant career score.

Andrei Vavilonskii slots in second place with 17,300,000 chips and will record his first live cash. With Ahuja slotted in the third place, the likes of Andrei Teodorescu (13,825,000), Mykhailo Demydenko (9,175,000), and Roman Gadzhiev (4,500,000) complete the top six.

These players battled against a massive field of 2,659 entries to make the final six. With each player already guaranteed to make $73,650, it remains interesting to see which player manages to walk away with the top prize of $362,365.
