EPT Cyprus 2023 ME: Ankit Ahuja Enters Day 3 As Chip Lead

Indian poker player Ankit Ahuja is chip leading as he entered Day 3 of the European Poker Tour (EPT) Cyprus 2023 $1,100 Eureka Main Event (ME). The poker pro entered Day 3 of the coveted ME with a stack of 10,105,000 chips(168 BB). Iraq’s Ali Al-Kubasi is second highest in chips with 8,125,000 (135 BB) in hand. 

$1,100 Eureka Main Event – Day 2

A total of 399 survivors from four starting flights came back to fight for the top prize and trophy. Day 2 concluded after 10 levels of play and saw the Indian player nail the chip lead. 

Ahuja, who has claimed the fourth spot in India’s All Time Money List is currently chasing the top spot and ME winner prize money worth $362,365. This pro with his $1.8 Million in live poker earnings will look to stifle competition as he grinds in Day 3 of the event.

Former EPT Main Event winners Ian Hamilton and Simon Wiciak were also in the house on Day 2 to ship the title, but for both these players, the day ended with their eliminations. Hamilton and Wiciak exited at the 34th and 105th positions for $6,800 and $3,875.

The Main Event started its play for Day 3 at Level 27 with blinds sitting at 30,000/60,000/60,000. The game will have 60-minutes levels. The tournament will go on for 10 levels or till the game has its final six players. 

Now, the most important question remains. Will Ahuja ship this prestigious title and be crowned the Main Event champion? Only time will tell.
