DPT Oct 2023: PLO Bounty Title Claimed By Anirudh

A poker player named Anirudh championed the Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) Bounty event at the ongoing Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT). Anirudh grabbed a pay cheque of ₹1.92 Lakh for his first place finish.

The PLO Bounty champion defeated another known name in the live circuit, Vijay Revenkar. The runner-up added ₹1.39 Lakh to his bankroll for the second place finish. Revankar is the defending champion of the DPT July 2023 Mini Main Event and it remains interesting to see if he can win this title in the 15th edition of the coveted poker series.

This tournament had 52 entries with players like Neel Haria, Saahib Bawa, Myron Pereira, Anant Purohit, Siddarth Singhvi, Jason Fernandes among others grinding for the top spot. 

The final table (FT) was set with Neel Haria leading with 289K chips followed by Anirudh with a stack of 236K. The runner-up of the PLO Bounty tournament had a chip stack of 100K. FT contender Pratik Sharma missed the money bubble and finished in 8th place. Poker player named Shakti Shikhar left the tournament in 7th place for a payday of ₹39,780.

Fernandes was eliminated by Revankar in the 6th position for ₹46,410. Myron Pereira took the 5th spot for ₹59,670. Saahib Bawa and Neel Haria left the game in the 4th and 3rd positions with pay cheques of ₹79,560 and ₹1,06,080 respectively.

In the final hand of the heads-up clash between Revankar and Anirudh, the former played with Kd 8d 5d 5h while the latter had T ♠ 9 ♣ 3 ❤ 3 ♠. The board fell as 8 ♣ K ❤ 3 ♦ T ♣ 4 ♠ giving Anirudh a set to win the game and the PLO Bounty trophy. 

This poker series is running full throttle in Deltin Royale. Apart from the PLO Bounty, DPT Oct 2023 also saw poker pro Raghav Bansal ship the heavy-duty High Roller title for over ₹16 Lakh.
