DPT Oct 2023: Animesh Thakur Ships Turbo Closer Event

Animesh Thakur shined bright on the last day of the Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) and emerged victorious in the DPT October 2023 Turbo Closer event. The poker pro managed to get the better of a field that consisted of 43 fierce competitors by displaying solid strategy and top-level skills to walk away with ₹2,39,700 in prize money after a thrilling showdown. 

While Thakur’s determination and finesse won him the title, Jayjit Ray fell just a little short and took the runner-up position. He secured the second spot in the DPT October 2023 Turbo Closer to pocket ₹1,69,200 in winnings.

Earlier in the series, we saw Dishant Soni win the DPT October 2023 Pineapple Flip & Ship title and win ₹1,11,200 in prize money. Abhishek Grover won the Super Hold ’em Turbo event to pocket ₹2,09,300 alongside the trophy, while Prajit Gambhir was the NLH Bounty champion.

Online and live poker pro Raghav Bansal defeated Baazi Games’ founder and CEO, Navkiran Singh to win DPT Oct 2023 High Roller with the pocket a pay cheque of ₹16,86,125. 

The online and live poker pro-Sahil Chutani won the coveted Main Event title and pocketed ₹20,19,109 as Ritwik Khanna registered his first-ever live win in the Warm-Up NLH Turbo event to win ₹4,13,289. Notably, a poker player named Anirudh won the Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) Bounty to grab a payday of ₹1.92 Lakh for his first-place finish. 

DPT October 2023 saw a lot of players from all across the country participating in this poker spectacle. A ton of intense poker action took place in the 15th edition of the tournaments, which also saw quite a few big names in the Indian poker circuit mark their attendance. With mega prize pools on offer, the DPT October 2023 was a roaring success.
