Doug Polk Asked Matt Berkey, “Are You Fu*king Dumb?” The Latter Replied, “Literally, Yes.”

We have heard of many poker fights, controversies and people calling each other names. But have you ever heard of quarreling foes agreeing with one and other on a live stream? Not sure what we are talking about. Let us explain to you. 

Doug Polk and Matt Berkey were at it again. It was the Upswing Poker founder’s maiden appearance on Bally’s Big Bet Poker LIVE at Tropicana when he had a heated argument with the Solve For Why founder. What the hell happened? Hold on we are getting there.

Doug Polk Calls Matt Berkey Dumb 

Polk and Berkey were tangled in a few sizable pots and got into an argument about their respective poker coaching sites. 

The three-time WSOP bracelet winner said to Berkey, “Upswing has a coach that sells a course, they’re on our site with their face, their course, and you’re calling that not our coach? Are you f*****g dumb?” 

The Solve For Why founder did not waste any time and shot back saying, “Literally, yes.” Berkey was of the opinion that coaches on Upswing Poker are not really coaches. 

Polk must have been quite amused at what Berkey stated and said, “Literally, yes? You’re literally that dumb? Dude, your point is almost so stupid, it’s almost hard to believe you’re making it, but then I have to remember that it’s you, so I can understand.”

Doug Polk won some money from Matt Berkey

It wasn’t a dull night as Polk managed to win some money from Berkey who’s slowly turning into the former’s number one enemy. Polk, who’s a partner at Lodge Poker, bet $67,000 into a pot of $95,000 holding pocket queens. 

The board presented 2♦3♣2♥5♣Q♦ which gave Polk a full  house. Berkey with his 43s couldn’t find a fold and thought that Polk was bluffing; he did not bother to think that Polk could have a monster hand. Berkey lost but was able to save face at the end of the session with $20,000 in his kitty.
