Dominik Nitsche Wins €10K High Roller at MILLIONS Germany

A couple of days back, we reported the news of Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom’s win at the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Germany Main Event, but the action didn’t end at the Main Event, with the €10K High Roller still to be played. It was Germany’s high-stakes pro Dominik Nitsche who shipped this event, for a handsome prize of €300,000.

The inaugural MILLIONS Germany came to an end with the €10,300 buy-in high roller, at the Kings Casino, Rozvadov. The €1 million guarantee was beaten as there were a total of 120 entries (72 entries and 48 re-entries), taking the prizepool to €1,140.000.

Nitsche recently (Nov 2017) won the One Drop event at the Europe World Series of Poker (WSOPE), in Rozvadov, for what became his career best live cash – €3,487,463 ($4,064,026). Here, the German beat Dutch poker pro Marcel Luske in heads up. The latter had quite a lot of experience himself, with nearly $5 million in live poker earnings. Nitsche, incidentally, also cashed €60,000, for finishing 7th in a high roller event earlier in the same series.

Nitsche is a 888poker ambassador while Luske is a partypoker ambassador, known as ‘The Flying Dutchman’. However, he couldn’t get past Nitsche in heads up and had to settle for the runner’s up prize of €180,000 ($224,635). The final table included a bunch of famous poker pros from around the world, but it was Nitsche who was the best on this day. With this win, he has taken his career live poker earnings to nearly $12 million.
