The Aria Casino and Resort which is situated in Las Vegas has been home to some of the biggest and most prestigious high stakes NLHE tournaments in the past. The 2018 Aria Fall Madness, which ran from October 30th to November 6th was one such series in this list. The series had a total of 7 events ranging from $10,500 PLO to the $103,300 Short Deck NLHE.
David Peters had an amazing run at the series, winning the top spot and a whopping $1,104,000 in the $103,300 buy-in event. This event attracted a total of 24 entries with the pool being raised to $2,400,000. This win adds a staggering amount to Peters’ live tournament cashes totalling to about $27,815,923, making him the 6th on the all-time money list, just above Antonio Esfandiari ($27,685,055) and Phil Ivey ($26,267,283).
Peters had also won the 2nd place at WSOP Europe Super Highroller held in Rozvadov this October taking home €1,621,960. Peters had also won the 1st place at Poker Masters Main Event for $1.1 million in September this year.
The final event at Aria Fall Madness lasted about five hours with Rick Salomon finishing in second and Jake Schindler finishing third. Peters also came third in the penultimate event of this tournament: $52,000 buy-in short deck NLHE. Alas, the Austrian Matthias Eibinger proved strong against Peters, shipping the tournament and winning $575,000.
Stephen Chidwick bagged 1st place in the $26,000 NLHE beating William Klein. Chidwick also came 2nd in the $10,500 Event, taking home $369,300 in total at the Aria Madness. Other winners include Anthony Alberto, Jared Jaffee, and Sam Soverel, with Soverel winning two $10,500 Events.
